Refunds & Returns Policy — Flannel and Wick

We want you to love your Flannel and Wick purchase. Because our products (candles, home fragrance, and related goods) are intended for personal use and safety/hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns for items that have been opened or used. However, we will gladly refund or replace items that arrive damaged, defective, or materially different from their online description.
1. 30-Day Return Window
Unopened, unused items in their original packaging are eligible for return within 30 days of delivery.
A $5 restocking fee will be deducted from all refunds for returned items.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable (shipping is paid to third-party carriers). Refunds will be issued for the item price minus the $5 restocking fee, to the original payment method.
2. How to Request a Return or Exchange
Email hello@flannelandwick.com with:
Your order number.
Whether you’d like a refund or an exchange (subject to availability).
Photos if helpful (product + packaging).
Subject line suggestion: “Return Request — Order #12345”
You’ll receive instructions and a return authorization within 2 business days. Unless otherwise specified, customers are responsible for return shipping on standard returns.
3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from its online description, contact us within 7 days of delivery with:
Order number.
Photos showing the damage (packaging + product).
A brief description of the issue.
Subject line suggestion: “Damaged Item — Order #12345”
What we’ll do after review (within 2 business days):
Send a replacement at no cost, or
Issue a refund for the item price (minus any applicable restocking fee), or
Offer store credit if you prefer.
If we require the damaged item returned, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label.
Note: While original shipping charges are generally non-refundable (they are paid to third-party carriers), for damaged/defective shipments we will cover return shipping or provide a replacement at our discretion.
4. Refund Timing & Processing
Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Once we receive and inspect the return (or approve a damaged/defective claim), refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days; the time until the refund posts depends on your bank or card issuer.
Replacement shipments will be sent as stock and shipping schedules allow; tracking will be provided.
5. Order Cancellations
To cancel, contact hello@flannelandwick.com as soon as possible.
If your order has not shipped we will cancel and refund the order (minus any applicable restocking fee if you initiated a return later).
If the order has already shipped, please follow the return process above.
6. International Orders
Report damage within 7 days of delivery.
Customs, duties, and return shipping for international returns are handled case-by-case; return shipping costs for standard returns are the customer’s responsibility. Original international shipping charges are non-refundable.
7. Final Sale & Exceptions
Gift cards, final sale, and clearance items are non-returnable and non-refundable unless faulty.
We reserve the right to refuse returns/refunds in cases of suspected fraud or abuse.
8. Carrier Damage & Assistance
If a package shows obvious carrier damage upon receipt, note it on the carrier’s paperwork (if applicable) and contact us immediately. We will assist in opening a carrier claim and work with you to resolve the issue.
